Geopolitical, political, technological, climatic, environmental or social revolutions: in our globalised world, any event that occurs at the other end of the planet is amplified to the point of being felt as a local episode. The ‘butterfly effect’ has become a reality. Wherever we look, the feeling that everything around us is changing quickly and simultaneously has never been so strong, so palpable, so enveloping.

How can we foresee, recognise and understand the true ‘revolutions’ of our time? How can we measure their real impact, and anticipate their consequences? More importantly, how can we live with them, and in them?
